CPLA (crystalized polylactic acid) is made from starchy plants such as corn, whose kernels are processed into a biopolymer that looks, acts, and performs like petroleum-based plastics.

CPLA performs much like traditional plastics, but with the crucial benefit of being 100% Compostable in commercial compost facilities. CPLA is versatile, compostable, and best of all, it is not petroleum derived. 

CPLA products have the added benefit of being compostable when you’re finished using them. Composting is an opportunity to divert waste that  would otherwise be landfilled.  When composting, one creates valuable nutrient rich humus which improves soil and provides a better environment for plants to grow.
